Welcome back to my blog! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted but now that I’ve finally graduated University I can put all my energy back into doing what I love! As a self-care advocate I thought I’d come back with something a little different for my blog and share with you a product I’ve been loving in lockdown.
Lockdown for me has consisted of binge watching Netflix (yes Tiger King), pamper nights and a little too much online shopping, so what better than a dreamy wax melt burning away in the background to set the mood. Sassy Wax is a brand I happened to come across on Instagram and not only do the wax melts look too pretty to use, they are made from biodegradable glitter to! From wax melts to room sprays to whipped soaps Sassy has you covered.
With a restock every Wednesday you’ll be spoilt for choice browsing through a range of bakery, fruity, perfume, sweet and clean scents. They do tend to sell out pretty sharpish however it’s not to worry, they restock the website every Wednesday with a range of different products each time. All wax comes in a bar for £2.90, a segment pot for £4.25 and a tub for £13.25 and with two cubes giving you over 10 hours burning time these are bound to last you forever. They also have samples and monthly boxes to chose from if you want to try before you buy or are just after a sweet smelling surprise! I’ll now share with you some of the favourites in my collection.
A Thousand Wishes
I picked up this bar in my first ever order and this is hands down my favourite scent. Described as a festive blend of sparkling champagne, crystal peonies & almond crème. With top Notes of Sparkling Champagne, Twinkling Star Fruit, & Golden Quince, middle Notes of Peonies & Freesia and bottom notes of Amber, Almond Crème, Sugared Sandalwood & Velvet Musk, this popular Bath& Bodyworks dupe goes down a treat. I tend to use this at night as its relaxing aroma calms my senses before bed.
Snow Pixie
If you’re a fan of Lush then this for you. It’s described as a as a vibrant, sweet, fruity accord with notes of bubble-gum, banana, pear drops, musk and vanilla with sweet candy floss. I believe it’s a dupe of Lush’s Snow fairy scent and is part of the permeant range meaning you can get your hands on it all year long! I tend to melt this one when having a bath, helping me to indulge in the bubbles and forget about a my ‘hard’ days work.
Blonde moment
Next up is Blonde Moment. Similar to A Thousand Wishes, it’s filled with iced champagne mixed with rich sweet raspberry and cranberry. I find this is one of the stronger scents, two cubes fills my room up and it lasts all day! I tend to use this in my living room as it gives off a warming homely scent and always gets the best compliments.
Bali Mango
Last but not least is Bali Mango. Think sun, think sea, this scent just screams summer. This tropical mix is an exotic getaway of juicy mango, sugar cane, pink passionflower and luscious nectarine. Close your eyes, grab yourself a cocktail (or four) and you’ll be on that sunny beach in no time.
So there it is my four favourite Sassy Wax scents. I’ve quickly become obsessed and for the price you really can’t go wrong. I can’t wait to get my hands on some bakery scents to add to my collection and I’m drying to try the whipped soaps and room sprays which are being released! If you want to explore more there’s a full scent list on their website alongside a Facebook group full of other likeminded wax addicts discussing everything Sassy.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, let me know down in the comments if you’ve tried Sassy Wax or what your favourite scents are! As always don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @elliemaytaylor_

They look delicious! Also, let’s spare a minute to appreciate Netflix and their work on Tiger King, that was one of the brightest highlights of lockdown, 100%!
